The Kalk INK is CAKE's take on a lightweight electric trail bike: near-silent, modular enough to service with a single tool roll, and built to a standard nothing else in this price bracket matches. It trades outright power for refinement and access to noise-restricted riding areas.

How fast is it, really?
The Kalk INK is geared for trail control rather than top-end, so it feels quicker than the numbers below 40 mph and then tapers off.
Regenerative braking is strong enough that most riders barely touch the rear brake on descents.
Real-world range
CAKE quotes ride time rather than distance — around 3 hours of gentle trail use, or closer to 75 minutes ridden hard.
The removable pack makes a spare battery the practical way to extend a day out.

The quiet is the whole point
I ride land where noise complaints shut trails down. Nobody hears this bike, and the build quality is on another level.

Premium price, premium feel
It's not the fastest for the money and it isn't trying to be. As a trail bike it's the nicest thing I've owned.

Verdict
Buy the Kalk INK if silence, build quality and serviceability matter more than raw watts per dollar. If you want the fastest bike for the money, a Talaria or E Ride Pro beats it easily.
Is it street legal?
The INK trail variant is sold for off-road use in North America. Some European markets get a road-registered version.
